Star Trek Discovery has been reviewed by the Guardian in the UK. For those unfamiliar with the Guardian, it's the traditional left-of-centre paper in the UK (though these days arguably is a centrist "New Labour"/Democrat bastion with a few old schoolers kept on.)
The review seems all over the place, more about Enterprise than DSC. However, one thing to bear in mind about the Guardian is that the below the line comments from the public are often more informative, amusing and generally readable than what the above the line "official" columnist has to say. I haven't read the BTL comments yet but pipe up if anything there really strikes a chord with you - in particular if people "out there" who are not part of hardcore Trek fandom have particular gripes/loves that are interesting for possible future development of the show.
