DSC news in October?

During one of his earlier interviews Fuller said we'll probably get more info on Discovery (including some casting announcements) in October. However, he gave this interview before Discovery was pushed back to May. Do you think we are still getting some new info this month, or has that been delayed too?

Probably. Filming is starting November, so I imagine we'll be hearing casting news this month.

He was saying that we will see casting news in October. I really think that he knew already at that time that the premiere will be pushed to May. Because if it was January they should have begin filming in September based on the original timetable. So yeah, I think we will get some casting news in October.

I was also wondering if he knew about the delay at that point. There are no panels featuring Fuller this month, as far as I know, perhaps they are just going to issue a press release.

Great idea, you have the mind of a Starfleet Intelligence operative. If I may suggest sir, your first objective should be obtaining the plans mentioned in this tweet: " Sometimes I sneak out of the writers room & into Bryan's office. Bridge plans REALLY starting to look incredible!" I want to know just how incredible they really are.

We should get casting news soon since that's hard to contain. Hopefully production stills showing costume and makeup in December. I doubt we'll see the ship modifications till the new year. They're not gonna make that mistake again after the blowback from the first teaser.

I have to say the delay has made be pretty antsy for news at this point. Cast is the very least I'd expect for the next round of news.

After the info dump in August, Fuller said he wasn't saying anything more about the show until the next info dump in October, then he went ahead and revealed info the lead character would be identified as "number One."

Still, I suspect we probably won't get anything until Halloween. You know, because Discovery's registry is NCC-1031, which Fuller has admitted is a deliberate reference to Halloween.

If there's one thing I learned from The Force Awakens, it's to add about a month or two to the date you expect or want to see news. Knowing we're getting news in October, I think expecting it to come the very last day of October is actually quite accurate

Could be. But also, he's really into Halloween, which as I indicated earlier is why the Discovery's registry number is NCC-1031. He could just be counting down to his favourite holiday.
