DS9's Best Delivered Line(s)

[Too Much Fun]

I think the best delievered lines are everything Weyoun says in his scene with Sisko and Dukat in "Ties of Blood and Water" starting with, "how delightful!". So hilarious. He really stole the episode with that performance. Also, Sisko's insane "Get me a phaser! I'LL GET RID OF KIRA!" in "Dramatis Personae" - still the biggest laugh I've had in all the time I've watched the series so far.

SISKO: "I thought I could wrap (all his pain) inside the uniform and throw it away. But it doesn't work that way."....or something like that...great stuff!!!

Don't think it's been mentioned yet, but another great Damar line delivery I love from S7, paraphrased:

Mila: "They say he's mounting an attack from his secret mountain hideaway!"
Garak: "You never told me you had a secret mountain hideaway."
Damar: "I was going to surprise you."

The utter deadpan-ness of that line never ceases to crack me up!

I love that bit too, but my favourite part is Worf starting to say, "It may not be possible...", then Dax interrupting with, "It won't happen again", and finally Sisko bellowing, "YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT IT WON'T!". I quite enjoyed doing an impression of that for a friend. Sisko yelling at someone because he's pissed off is always gold.

I'm beginning to think that kind of deadpan humor is genetically hard-wired into Cardassians. Must be part of why I like them so much.

People in totalitarian societies tend to develop very dry, low key senses of humor.

Well, one of my all-time favorite exchanges is when Sisko blackmails Quark into remaining at the station.

SISKO: We need someone to say, "I'm staying. I'm rebuilding." We need . . . a community leader. And it's going to be . . . YOU, Quark!
QUARK: Hahahahahaha! Community leader!
ODO: Seems reasonable. You have all the character references of a politician.

Then, at the end of the scene, Odo gleefully says about Sisko, "You know, I didn't think I was going to like him!"

And, of course, "It's REEEAAAALLLL!"
