You'd better hope there isn't a next time mister. I have cut you a lot of slack in the past. I even looked away once or twice when I could have come down hard on you, but those days are over. Now we may not get you for selling weapons, but you so much as litter on the Promenade, and I will nail you to the wall!
A favorite of mine that I had cause to quote a little while earlier here on the boards.
I always sit up and listen to that statement.Let me tell you something about Hew-mons, nephew. They're a wonderful, friendly people – as long as their bellies are full and their holosuites are working. But take away their creature comforts... deprive them of food, sleep, sonic showers... put their lives in jeopardy over an extended period of time... and those same friendly, intelligent, wonderful people will become as nasty and violent as the most bloodthirsty Klingon. You don't believe me? Look at those faces, look at their eyes...
Absolutely fantastic dialogues include Garak, my favourite, from In The Pale Moonlight!!
Sisko: Who's watching Tolar?
Garack: I've locked him in his quarters. I've also left him with the distinct impression that if he attempts to force open the door, it may... explode.
Sisko: I hope that's just an impression
Gar: It's best not to dwell on such minutiae
Gold absolute freaking gold
In Emissary, when Sisko meets Kira for the first time, Kira says, "I suppose you want the office."
Sisko's reply is perfectly delivered. "Well, I thought I'd say hello first and then take the office, but we could do it in any order you'd like."

I didn't like that episode, it was straying too far from a future where we are supposed to have evolved somewhat. Unfortunately that episode painted a very bad picture of future humans.
I love Garak's tirade against Ezri, I thought it was priceless.
Humans are humans. I don't care how much evolved the culture becomes, back a human into a corner and he WILL come out fighting.

There's fighting and then there's turning bat-sh*t crazy and wearing a necklace of ketracel whites as a trophy. This wasn't a part of Gene Rodenberry's vision. People are down on Rick Berman but sometimes the DS9 writers went too far and I'm glad Berman intervened ocassionally. Hated the original idea that Nog would lose both legs, thank goodness Berman put a stop to that.
Well I think DS9 went a little too far sometimes, especially with this episode.
Its 300 years in the future, we are supposed to be mor evolved, more psychologically advanced. We're not supposed to crumble into psycopaths at the first sign of trouble!
The human race has been around for tens of thousands of years, but we still have trouble getting past our instinctual and animal-like behavioural responses, particularly during times of stress. GR's idea may be a nice one, but 300 years isn't going to make that much of a difference on the evolution of the human mind, I think Quark was right on the money in his speech.Well I think DS9 went a little too far sometimes, especially with this episode.
