DS9

DS9, what astrange animal it was. I didn't get into it until the start of the Dominian War. I'd written it off as uninteresting. A mutual friend kept updating me on events and when Worf joined and Sisko shaved his head, so did I. It went on to become my favourite Star Trek saga and even now when I look back on the early episodes I can't help but wonder how I ever thought it was uninteresting :cardie:

I was the same. I saw Emissary back in 1993/4 and it didn't do enough to get my 10 yo self interested. Voyager's pilot was the opposite, but I dropped out of it during the first season. It wasn't until I rented out In the Cards/Call to Arms that I gave DS9 another go and haven't regretted it since.

In terms of quality, it is IMO up there with DS9. Some may even say it's better (I don't since TNG was the Trek I grew up on and for that reason I have a penchant to it).

I think that if DS9 had as good ratings as TNG, it would have been as big a pop culture hit.

I'm one of them boring gits who started watching from the pilot episode and stayed watching till the last!

Yeah I loved DS9 from the start myself it grew into a great series but I'm sure gene would not of approved of the war story line but again it made some great stories I also liked how the support characters were so convincing and had some great story lines. I can remember first seen the episode blood oath and thinking wow there the Klingons from TOS all reunited in one episode. Still great stuff now as I'm watching the last season !!!!

I thought DS9 was way ahead of it time, far and away my favourite ST. It also has my fav trek character from any series.
