Ds9 These Haunted Seas

I just finished reading this, but I was a bit dissapointed that there are two more books in this series of titles, and also the four book covers make up a picture, so now I have one big book comprising the first two stories and have to buy two little books so it will look stupid on the shelf!

If more of them had sold, there would be more, and it would look okay...
Wounds is the biggest book I have, but I enjoyed reading it, so thats more important than my OCDing over the look of my shelf (can't believe I said that).

One of those books is rather large though, only 4 is small...
AI am slightly puzzled as to why the cover of THS isn't like that of ToF... TPTB can answer that... it would have made a bit more sense...

The reward to those who paid for all them when they came out?

They do look kind of simmilar, just with different designs, I hope they keep bringing out these omnibuses for the DS9 Relaunch

The word here so far is that they won't... sucks for those just getting into the series.

Tho personally, I won't be so tempted to buy them despite the fact I own them all... lol

You'd think they'd at least finishing collecting 'Mission Gamma' if nothing else. The last two books and Rising Son, maybe?

The thing with reprints is, if there is demand they get published. For a very long time, it was only "Mission: Gamma" #1 that was out of print and, to satisfy demand for that particular title from book shops, the second reprint omnibus went to press. Now, that omnibus didn't sell as fast as Pocket needed it to, so the future of a next omnibus awaits a time when sufficient bookshops have tried ordering Books #3 and 4 of "Mission: Gamma", thus flagging a demand to Pocket.

There are many more second hand copies of "Mission: Gamma" #2-4 floating around than there were of #1, because they had bigger print runs in the first place. The best strategy people can do is probably tell their bookshops they wish to order the now out-of-print #3 and 4.

Marco said a third omnibus was unlikely for now, IIRC, but he didn't say unlikely forever.

Yes it does

I'm so glad I picked up the first two Mission Gamma novels which feels years ago now and then all the others. As for the size of trades, does Voyage of the Imagination fall in that category and if not, my biggest Trek book (excluding the companions) is the TNG anthology from 2007.

I was hoping you'd say this. :)
And aside from those are only missing the first two, if people are missing 3 & 4, whether they purchases THS or not, that is reasonable in the future, I hope.

Would be nice if they stuck to the MG covers maybe- for those who didn't get the individual books.

The only reason I bought "These Haunted Seas" was actually due to the new cover art: the first to depict Thriss of Andor.

My only reason for buying the first omnibus, "Twist of Faith", was David George's new introduction.

^ Pardon? It looks like the station swathed in clouds... :S
I'll have to take a closer look then... oops

I still may buy ToF- DRGIII writes some pretty great stuff, and I've gotten most of the words read off the pages of a lot of my DS9PF. :D
Actually, MG1 was one of my favourites, so if THS comes in, I may get it because of that...

EDIT:
Holy cow! Every cover I'd seen was so tiny I didn't realize there were people in there! Thanks for telling me Therin.
Is "Thriss" the Andorian from ENT that served with Shran? She looks a bit familiar...

No, Thriss is one of Shar's bondmates from the DS9 post-finale novels. I think the cover image may have been based on one of the Andorian females from ENT, though I'm not sure.

No no, I know, but we didn't see Thriss in the series, so I thought maybe they used the "female" andorian from ENT to "personify" her- like how they use Remata'klan for Taran'atar's pictures... and some guy for Kitana'klan, etc.

The Andorian on the cover of THS looks a bit familiar is all...
