Jadzia and Worf. It was beauty and the beast.

The chemistry between the two really showed through in "Change of Heart", imo. I even loved the episode "Let he who is without sin". Jadzia and Worf acted like a loving but bickering couple. I thought it was hilarious.

And the way the two of them physically bonded for the first time in the holosuite was like animal magnetism. Surprisingly, Jadzia and Worf made a good couple.

For the poll's choice, it's Miles/Keiko. They had the best sci-fi storylines.

I'd also opine for Julian and Miles, or Garak and Julian. Not all relationships have to have a sexual component. And if they were, I'm happy for them as much as any other fictional "shipping". In part because any relationship is a relationship, not all are sexual, our society tends to fixate on the reproductive act above all else*, and if they're not harming anyone then it doesn't matter?

* how can a society that "gets it" come across even more desperate in its stories than incels in real life? Oh, the draaaaaaaaaaaaama. Melodrama...
I thought the show overdid the Bashir and O'Brien bromance/friendship toward the end of the series. I remember during the last episodes, O'Brien appeared in scenes for no good purpose other than to show what a great buddy he was to Bashir.

O'Brien was a married man with children, yet the way he was portrayed at the end, a viewer might have thought that his marriage and fatherhood came second to his friendship with Bashir.

O'Brien seemed almost more devoted to Bashir than to his own wife and children. Granted, Keiko was very permissive of (and at one point, encouraged) Miles' relationship with Bashir. And Miles enthusiastically jumped at the opportunity. It seemed odd. The show overplayed the Bashir/O'Brien bromance, imho.

Keiko was being wise to encourage the friendship between Miles and Bashir. A spouse can't and shouldn't be the only friend someone has.

The winners with 9 votes: Worf & Jadzia

Juliens most succesfull relationship was with Garak and managed to get 3 votes, not bad!
No one cared about Julien & Melora, Jadzia & Lenara or Julien & Leeta, all with 0 votes.
Kira & Vedek Bareil are just as popular as Dukat & Kai Winn... with one vote each.

The anticipated landslide of Julien & Miles didn't happen with only two votes...
And the relationship that was never meant to be, Odo & Lwaxana, managed to beat 13(!) other couples

Thank you all for your very valuable participation in this important poll,
now we know that Jadzia & Worf are the number one couple on the space station!:luvlove:

Nice list. Wanted to say a little something about Quark and Grilka. I loved those two together. They were fun, and I think Grilka even came to understand Quark a lot. I didn't really like Worf needing to butt in though, but that's Worf.

Keiko was being wise to encourage the friendship between Miles and Bashir. A spouse can't and shouldn't be the only friend someone has.

That's a good point actually, and a hell of a lot more healthy than the situation between Neelix and Kes in Voyager, his posessiveness was very unhealthy, even though he was an otherwise good character.

Everyone needs friends, even when they're in a relationship. Seriously, some people take issues with that, but all people need a variety of people to speak to. Ones spouse may be the most important, but that doesn't mean that meaningful connections on a friendship level can't or shouldn't happen with others. Keiko is absolutely right, Miles did need to be friends with Bashir. What would have been nice though was to see Keiko out with her friends too.
