Unfortunately the rounded corners are done in the easiest (and stupidest) of all possible ways. They just have the same color as the background (now you can imagine my fear that someone will quote one of my avatars, as the different background will reveal my trick). I know, transparent *.gif's would be the solution, but I'm an idiot with them. I tried them, but they were not really transparent then. There were always some pixels (presumably some transparent ones) that were displayed white on the edges! And that doesn't look good. On the left is an example of what I mean (its my first version of this weeks Shuttles & Runabouts theme, BTW); on the right you are seeing the difference (its the avatar I choose for this weeks contest):

Then it would be totally transparent on the corners. Maybe someone has an idea how to avoid them. As I love the rounded corners to distinguish my avatars from others (and, IMHO, rounded corners belong to 24th century Star Trek anyway), it would be great to really have them transparent. But I'm also considering to get rid of them (because they are so badly done).
I don't know. And until I know I will probably continue and just make the corners the same color as the board background.
Oddly I thought .PNG images weren't permitted as avatars.
I've done it (as you can see <-----). And it works!BigFoot said:
^ If you don't delete too many pixels it should look fine. If it doesn't work for you, let me know and I'll give it a try.
This one really has round transparent corners, yeah! (Now I should go to bed ...)nx1701g said:
