And since I have some experience with running past contests I know that running them is more work than it seems. And if you're busy in RL it's hard to find the time to post the poll or the new contest thread.

Exactly. Without the help of orac there wouldn't have been a TOS avatar contest for the last few weeks. That's my way of saying 'thank you' to BigFoot for continually running this wonderful contest. I know how much work it can be.

There is really no reason to be rude to BigFoot, who has donated his time so we can have fun making avatars. It's only a game and if a thread is late there's a reason. There's plenty of other avatar contests if you don't like this one. The general SF/F forum runs a 7 day contest that is rarely late.

Personally, I want to thank BigFoot for doing a great job this last year or so! I hope you'll enter an avatar or two, or just stop by and chat in the coming contest threads.
