If you are turning right onto a four lane road, two in each direction, you need to turn into the lane that is closest to you. That is, the right hand lane, against the curb. If you are turning left onto a road that fits this description, you need to turn into the leftmost lane. That is, the one closest to you, against the yellow line.
This way, two people can turn at once.
