The Equinox was a cool ship. Small, but really nice to look at. Reminded me like a cross between Voyager, and Enterprise-E, but smaller, and with more sensors. If I look at the picture, it looks like Equinox had 8 decks, and a small captain's shuttle craft at the bottom of the ship.
If i remember correctly,i liked this new class of starship from the moment it made it first appearance on trek.

AGREE WITH ALL OF THE ABOVE!
This ship realy is one of my absolute favorites! And I wished they had used this design instead of the intrepid.That's called a Waverider shuttle, which acts sort of like a jet aircraft at Mach 5 and below, except to hover, making it more fuel efficient in atmospheric flight than standard shuttles. In other words, it has wings.
Love the design of the Nova class.
