As great as Dredd's success on DVD/Blu-ray/Netflix/whatever is, I'm still not too confident we'll get a sequel. Even if we do, isn't there a better chance it'll be straight to home video without a theatrical release? Not only could that hurt the budget, it's possible they may not even get Karl Urban back which would be a great tragedy, IMO.
I don't know, maybe I'm just unnecessarily cynical. I do hope it gets a theatrical sequel, I'm just not holding my breath.

Ok I'm dreaming I know, but still...If they could make a sequel for the same or less money it would be bound to do better at the box office given the positive vibe the film's now getting on DVD etc (you would hope). The question is would any improvement be enough for a third film?
