Goku was never really a 'boy scout' superhero. He was always more interested in tournament fighting and becoming a stronger and better fighter. Gohan went through a 'Superman' saga where he dressed up and did the protect and serve stuff.

Dragon Ball Z was always Journey to the West plus Superman II. That was never any kind of secret, Akira Toriyama has stated as much. A work being openly influenced by another isn't the same thing as a ripoff, though. We aren't talking about those toys you find in the dollar store that look almost exactly like popular cartoon or action movie characters, called Transmorphers or something.

Me personaly, love DBZ, hate superman, but that doesn't mean i'm going to go off and start talking a bunch of shit or start comparing the two. Really dude, grow up.
