Dr. Strange - Benedict Cumberbatch Cast!

And that's why adaptations don't really excite me. They always change stuff and ruin the concept.

It's getting Strange in here.

It's going to be a fest for the eyes. The imagery looks to be amazing

They've really hit it out of the ball park.

So did they get rid of the whole car accident injuring his hands element of his backstory? That seems kind of like doing Spider-Man but not killing Uncle Ben.

The concept art shows him looking at his messed up hands in a hospital bed. I'm pretty sure that's being retained.

I was talking about the old TV movie, I knew they weren't cutting it from the new movie.

Some are speculating the green gem in Strange's amulet is an infinity gem

For those that are keeping tabs that's 5 out of 6 so far we know

Space Stone (Blue): Housed in the Tesseract. Now currently sent back to Asgard

Mind Stone (Yellow): Used to be in Loki's staff. Now it's in Vision's forehead

Reality Stone (Red): Formed by the Dark Elf Malekith into a fluid-like weapon called the Aether, it is entrusted to the Collector at the end of Thor: The Dark World.

Power Stone (Purple): Entrusted to the Nova Corps for safekeeping.

We only have the Green and Orange to go, with no idea which is which.

So he either has the Time or Soul stone, I'm guessing it isn't the Time stone, this thing looks like it's altering his body and fueling him with weird arcane power.

What their version of the Eye reminds me of?

The skylight of the comics version of the Sanctum.

He looks exactly like I'd hope he'd look. Marvel has done a great job of making the characters look recognizable compared to their comic counterparts, while also making sense in-universe. The concept art also looks very good. I'm sure this is going to be another hit for Marvel.

If that one picture is supposed to be the sanctum, I'm not crazy about it...too ultra-modern looking. Wouldn't be a deal-breaker, tho.
