I'm not sure KRAD, David Mack, and the other writers here would agree with that, lol. If you don't read the books (especially the new ones: say, last five years), you're missing a very enjoyable part of the Trek Universe.

Haven't read "Angel of Death", but M'Benga is portrayed very well and at length in the Vanguard novels.
