Double Double Double!

In a TNG thread we are trying to figure out how many times Data/Picard played multiple parts in an episode. Data/Lore.. or Picard/Picard in Hollow Pursuits...Then it got me thinking. Which of our Star Trek regulars did the best job playing a double part?

Shatner's Enemy With In came to mind, as did Spock from Mirror Mirror! But for me, the best? Jonathin Frakes in Second Chances. I think he did the best job of, not only acting with him self, but also, creating a new character that was independent of Riker. A whole new character, and that is hard to do...

What double duty performance in the history of TREK do you think was the best????

Shatner's performance as Kirk and Lester-Kirk in Turnabout Intruder has always been a favorite of mine.

Always liked Spiner in his various roles as members of the Soong-family.

Shatner in "The Enemy Within" was great, too (man, I haven't watched this ep in ages, but still remember his fine performance).

Frakes in "Second Chances" was also good. I got the impression he's kinda underrated sometimes, being together with Stewart and Spiner on the same show - but he is a very capable actor.

Let's see, Majel Barrett played Number One, Nurse Chapel, Lwaxana Troi, and the voices of several TAS characters (including the sexy Lieutenant M'Ress), Gary Seven's computer, the 24th-century LCARS system, and the computer on the U.S.S. Defiant of ENT: In a Mirror, Darkly. The only time I recall two of her characters interacting with each other was in TNG, when Lwaxana had an argument with the replicator. But that's quite a diverse range of roles, and she was in every series.

Definitely memorable!

Best "double" performance award in Trek history goes to Jeffrey Combs for playing both Weyoun 6 and Weyoun 7 in Treachery, Faith and the Great River.

I have to agree... even then this wonderful lady never got to REALLY show her acting abilities... but I also have to go with Riker in "Second Chances" and Kirk in "The Enemy Within"... for the reasons stated above by RobertScorpio.
