So sorry to hear this Some of my favorite memories are spending rainy afternoons watching her movies with my mom.

97. Damn...that's a hell of a run. I should be so lucky.

I think what was so rare about Doris Day was that she came across as authentic--she wasn't trying to be a sex-pot, a diva, a femme fatale... she was just Doris. It felt honest, friendly, like someone you wanted on your side. She was lovely but it was her talent people remembered, not her looks.

I can't even recall how many times I watched "Calamity Jane" or "The Man Who Knew Too Much" when I was younger.
