She will always be an adorable cutie for the ages and her movies will be classics until humans are an extinct species.

Sad to hear, she'll probably go drink coffee with the others of the era up there.

Really sad news. Not just my Dads' favourite, there was just something special about her for me too!

Condolences to her family and friends.

So sorry to hear this :( Some of my favorite memories are spending rainy afternoons watching her movies with my mom.

    She will be missed.

    97. Damn...that's a hell of a run. I should be so lucky.

I think what was so rare about Doris Day was that she came across as authentic--she wasn't trying to be a sex-pot, a diva, a femme fatale... she was just Doris. It felt honest, friendly, like someone you wanted on your side. She was lovely but it was her talent people remembered, not her looks.

I can't even recall how many times I watched "Calamity Jane" or "The Man Who Knew Too Much" when I was younger.

RIP, Doris Day. :( She was certainly one of a kind in the world of movies and TV. She will always be an icon of niceness.

I've had the song "Please Don't Eat the Daisies" running through my head all day. Rest in Peace, talented lady. :(
