Spoilers Doom Patrol - DC Universe Series

I was playing Far Cry 6 and the opening credits reminded me of Doom Patrol

We watched episodes 2, 3, and 4 this past week. I love this show. :luvlove:

Since I don't know where everyone's at in their viewing, I'll keep this spoiler-free.

Vacay Patrol: Billy Boyd and Stephen Murphy are awesome. I already loved the song used in a central scene, but now I love it even more. Mysteries deepen. Season 3 truly gets underway here.

Dead Patrol: There's very little I can say without giving things away, but there were some Very Cool Things in this episode. Dorothy showed how much she's grown up and a lot of potential as a leader.

Undead Patrol: Insanely funny! Don't have anything to drink while watching. :lol: Mark Sheppard rocks, as always.
 
We watched "Dada Patrol" tonight plus the little BTS featurette for the ep and another BTS about Madame Rouge. Michelle is The Awesome. :luvlove:
 
So, we watched the last 2 episodes of the season this week and they were *awesome*. Everything IS tied together and makes sense - or at least as much sense as this show can make! :hugegrin:

I had always "heard" Brain in my head as French, but hey, Bronx works too. :lol:

I like Michelle Gomez's look in this one. Can't help thinking this will be the last hurrah for this one over at HBO MAX. It's only a trailer but it looks like it's treading somewhat familiar territory (at least as familiar as Doom Patrol can be). I'd prefer to see them doing something more novel and/or big but let's see how it actually plays out this season.

I think in this case it was more they just went through the motions when it came to presentation. The whole story felt perfunctory compared to the previous entries. In this case, I was struck with how the shots were similarly slowed/arty but also how much the songs sounded so similar.
 
I haven't liked this season as much as the first couple, and I think I was lukewarm on season 3 too. But I'll see it through to the end, I guess.

I'd actually been thinking of dropping my Max subscription now that Harley Quinn's season is over. I bet they schedule these releases specifically to discourage us from dropping it. Though I'm lukewarm enough about Doom Patrol that maybe I'll cancel after all and come back later when there are other things to watch alongside it.
 
I did not watch this trailer, I will wait until it airs. However, I did note that the return date was officially listed as Oct 12.
