My goal was actually to mock the existence of this thing, though I think I framed my thread as a more serious warning than I intended.Yeah, but he's mocking it. You're actively telling people about the very thing you don't want them involved with.

No movie, book or poem that was named "The Last ..." anything, was ever any good. The lack of creativity in the title says all about the thought that went into the work.
disclaimer: I liked the movie even if I don't think it was good.

Too logical.Star Wars episode titles all hark back to the classic Saturday-afternoon serials that originally inspired Lucas; serials that made for a fun diversion but really weren't any good.
Kor
I linked that like 2 posts above yours lol
There are some fanedit projects in development that delete, recut and reformat parts of the movie, that should be a *dramatic* improvement from the theater cut.
But they're usually one person's or a small group's passion project that they devote themselves to. Not people begging for money to make it.There are some fanedit projects in development that delete, recut and reformat parts of the movie, that should be a *dramatic* improvement from the theater cut.
There is always one...

we can call that the exception which proves the rule.I quite liked The Last Emperor.![]()

No love for "The Last of the Mohicans?"I quite liked The Last Emperor.![]()
I have seen a ton of fanedits that improve the original product, including a perfect cut of Final Frontier, and Prometheus, and the cleanest cut of A New Hope that has ever existed. I'm not endorsing this money grab nor "remake" idea, but there are definitely fanedits in the pipeline for the Last Jedi that I am *greatly* looking forward to.
Probably, a lot of these people are pretty delusional.Wow. I would totally believe that some pissed off fans somewhere would try to crowdsource some fan film that's "The movie THEY wanted". Claiming the director is the one behind it, did anyone actually fall for this?
