Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors

Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors

These are just unbelieveable! As great as your earlier work with Unreal 3 was, these new Unreal 4 renders blow them out of the water — I feel like I'm really there in sickbay. :techman:

Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors

As always, your work is AWESOME! I use your pics as wallpapers and slide show, and am not loving the huge yellow credits you've been adding. They really take away from the over all image, but can understand why you do so. I find my artwork all over the internet with others taking credit for them.

It's an unfortunate addition I had to make recently due to someone stealing my artwork and using it in their videos without giving credit.

I appreciate your kind words, though! Working on the project now as we speak...

Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors

Well, if this is the third season version of the ship (or post third-season), maybe blue credits would be more appropriate? ;)

Donny:

I was looking at the "treadmill" push pedals through all its appearances--from "The Corbomite Maneuver" all the way to "Turnabout Intruder." The boxy push pedals seem to be painted that ubiquitous "wall gray." Only the surface on which you place your feet would seem to be black. They look to be some rough carpeting.

Good eye, Greg! This screencap from "The Corbomite Maneuver" further confirms what you are pointing out: http://tos.trekcore.com/hd/albums/1x10hd/thecorbomitemaneuverhd053.jpg

An easy fix! Thanks!

Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors

Well, I knew you were going for a kind of third season look for Sickbay, so I was less concerned about how it looked back in "Corbomite" and more concerned about how it looked in, well, the third season. Conveniently, it looks like the paint job was always grayish--even from its earliest appearance.

Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors

Finished rebuilding the Intensive Care Ward tonight. Now all that's left is to knock out the other two rooms of sickbay and I can finally be caught up to where I left off...

This is one of my favorite rooms onboard the Enterprise. The color palette screams groovy '60s awesome...

The refraction on the glass is a work-in-progress.

I'm very pleased with how this bed sheet material turned out.

Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors

Wrinkles on the bedsheet too! Very nicely done.

Nice work Donny :techman: I wouldn't have minded this particular groovy 60's color palette for an ICU stay.

Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors

Flying out to the Las Vegas Trek convention tomorrow! Should have some updates soon after next week.

Out of curiosity, anyone who frequents this thread going to the convention also? I'd love to meet some of you.

Re: Donny's TOS Enterprise Interiors

I wonder what the complete bridge ceiling would really look like, since it was never completed on the set because of production needs.
