Man, the mention of K-Mart hits me with nostalgia. K-Mart hasn't been a thing here since the early 2000's. It was when Walmart entered the Canadian market, and K-Mart couldn't cope, sitting at 8% market share compared to Walmart's 24%.
Domino's Pizza. Is their pizza any good?

Just tonight i had their spinach feta bread again. Love it!
I used to like Dominos/Papa John's/Pizza Hut/Little Ceaser...
Then I moved to my current location, just a short train ride from NYC. What I thought was delicious pizza was so very very wrong. I haven't set foot in a chain going on a year now. Just local to me on the west side of the river up here in Highland there are a dozen hole-in-the-wall pizza shops and a couple of more "proper" Italian places... Slices as big as a medium from a chain and a soda for $10? Yeah, that's the stuff.
If I was to relocate out of Pizza Promised Land here back to the real world, I'd probably go either for Dominos or Papa Johns.
Pizza Hut jacked me years ago during that whole reading promotion thing when I was in school and I have never forgiven them.

K-Mart, like it's latter day owner Sears, didn't adapt to any sort of competition well if at all, be it WalMart or online retail. Sears just plain "stubborned" their way out of business, never lowering their prices or improving selection. In fact they seemed to decrease selection.
Yeah, it seems to be a common occurrence everywhere, in that stores are reluctant to change in the face of big oncoming social changes, ie the internet, and I think a big reason for that is that they've operated for so long the way they have and may not see the change as a big deal.
Before the pandemic, I used to vacation in Canada a lot, and grew rather fond of Pizza Pizza. Can't wait to try it again. 
I miss K Mart. A lot.
Also, frozen pizza again sounded so good tonight. Also, 7 Eleven is doing a Halloween special on their pizzas.
Dominos has always tasted like wet cardboard + pizza topping when I've had it. Between the two, I prefer Pizza Hut.
What's funny to me is now, thanks to this topic, I get a lot of Round Table ads. And I don't believe there is a Round Table near me. Thanks Google!
Reminds me of the time we got IKEA flyers in the mail and we don't have an IKEA here. We got all excited thinking that might have been a hint that there were plans on building one, but it never happened.
I for one wouldn't buy a pizza from Domino's even if it wasn't for their founder's politics; but then again I'm not big on any other chain pizza either, including Pizza Hut. For someone who grew up with consuming pizzas made hands-on by authentic South Philly Italians who were also independent owners; corporate controlled, mass produced pies that taste of chemicals and rancid cheese can't compete. In fact, while I've yet to find any truly outstanding pizza since moving, there are a few places where we live that advertise New York Style pies that come close and who not coincidently are independently owned.
"Corporate" definitely means lower quality. Portillo's Hot Dogs used to be a Chicago institution, but since they got bought up, not so much.
Recently enjoyed a fresh basked 7-Eleven 7 Meat Pizza. Excellent crust and flavor.
Sometimes a frozen pizza from a supermarket is the right pizza.
Domino's pizza is okay. It used to come with 4 free cokes but not anymore. The sauce is okay so-so, but again it is fine to eat. Pizza Hut has a zestier sauce. We like to do the take and bake at Papa Murphy's.
I laughed. I imagine this isn't that far from the truth.
There are few frozen or takeout pizzas I can't stand and Domino's has never fallen into the category. So long as the toppings are something I like and the crust is adequately cooked I can eat it and enjoy myself.
I've actually had Totino's frozen pizza that was better than some I've gotten from Domino's, Pizza Hut and Little Caesar's.
They're really cheap but one of my favorite toppings is sausage and Totino's is one of the few that has sausage by itself and not a bunch of other meats.
