In family law cases, pets are usually treated as property, and who retains the pet after a divorce is therefore decided in the same way as for any other piece of property, often causing significant heartbreak for one of the ex-partners. British Columbia changed their Family Law Act in January to treat pets as companions instead. The first case involving a pet dog was just heard in the BC Supreme Court, and the judge in the case ruled that the divorcing couple would share joint custody of their pet golden retriever.

Went onto Google Maps to see what restaurants are in the area. One of the places it showed was called Wonder Dogs. Wasn't aware there was a hot dog place here so I clicked on it. There still isn't a hot dog place here. It's a dog trainer.
