I am just wondering about dachshunds? All my friends are so hung up on these dogs. Christmas is pretty easy with them just get something with that kind of dog it and they are happy. So what is the big deal with these dogs? I am not against them or anything, just trying to understand.

Had a Dachshund way back (in ancient times) and she was sweet as could be. Bit of a nut when it came to digging in the yard...

Dachshunds are modest sized for dogs so, some may like that? Otherwise, I think it's that they tend to be sweet natured dogs.
