It seems to me that dogs are evolving. In the old days, a bunch of dogs would pull a sled with one human in tow. Now 3 dogs have one human chauffeuring them around town.

The way he cranes his body forward is what "sells" it. It clearly demonstrates his actions are deliberate, not accidental, and he's enjoying the experience. (And people claim bulldogs are not that "bright".)
