Makes me want another dog.
To be fair respirating makes me want another dog so . . .
I love the kitties. They are a hoot and very affectionate. There’s just something about a dog.
Cats are life, but I do miss my puppy deeply. There is something about the companionship of a dog that cannot be replaced with any other living being or inanimate object.
My shih-tsu, Gus, hangs on my every word and if I'm on my recliner he has to be up there with me. And he sleeps at the foot of my bed. If I go to the store or leave for any reason for even a short time, he greets me when I get home like I'd been gone for a week or two.And then some dogs more than others.
Our rottie was good like that - he'd sit and cock his head or rest his head on your knee and act as if he was listening while you'd talk about how shit a day you'd had. The Shih-tzu-Maltese-X paid as much attention as a cat would.

He puts up with that part of the grooming because Sarah hand dries him with this big chamois looking cloth and that is heaven to him. It makes up for all the rest of the grooming torture. Plus the treats she rewards him with after grooming are his favorites.He looks a little miffed.
