Does the way a character is styled affect your opinion of them?

To the OP: Yes.

I was frustrated when Voyager kept it's uniforms after DS9 and the TNG movies introduced the newer design with the grey (?) shoulder portions.
I realize there was an "in-universe" explanation, but it was always very jarring, and made the VOY characters look silly.

I kind of liked that they kept the old uniforms. It made sense story wise, and I think the costumes fit the less dark tone of Voyager. I think it would have been interesting if the Maquis had hung on to their uniforms at least for the first season.

Scotty should have worn his kilt more often. I'm a fan of Scotland! ;)

Pity the poor engineer who has to follow him up a ladder.

Worse fashion faux pas: Picard's cute little outfit in Captain's Holiday, or that Pink Pilgrim thing Chekov was rocking in Search for Spock?

I don't mind Picard's "Captain's Holiday" episode but his pajamas were something else. I've heard of a v neck collar but one that ends at the stomach?

Don't forget Riker's Angel One outfit that showed his hairy chest.....:D :guffaw:

I actually want to see the outfit where he wore feathers that he used as a example to explain away his Angel One outfit when the ladies were laughing at him.
