Star Wars are the movies where Obi-Wan said "Only a sith deals in absolutes.'
Why are you conversing as if Star Wars is even remotely logically self-consistent?

We've had this debate before, and you can dig right down to fundamental questions that have never been definitely answered, such as, is the Force some kind of puppetmaster arranging things to its liking or is it just an impersonal force of nature that serves as an excuse some people use for bad behavior? What does "balancing" the Force mean - no Sith, or a balance of Jedi and Sith?
Does the dark side exert some kind of mind control that overcomes free will, and if so, to what extent? We actually did get a quasi-answer on that one, in the Mortis Arc: the dark side can exert total mind control, but in Anakin's case, the control probably isn't total, since he's all special & stuff...
Listen to what Obi-Wan is really saying and not just the words.
Or you could realize that Lucas is a shitty writer and didn't put ten seconds of thought into that dialogue, so that he was completely unaware that he was writing comedy at that point.
