Considering I've seen images of the old concept art, I like what they did to it. It has a more Star Trek feel than the concept art, though I'm seeing some design queues from USS Franklin in the saucer. I'd like to know more about it really. Why does it seem so large. Why does it have what looks like potentially three cylinders of warp coils per nacelle? What was it designed to do? How big is it?

It is ugly, but sometimes that makes it all the more interesting.

I'm not voting because the poll options are terrible, but I kinda like it. I like the workhorse, function over form look to it. We've had fifty years of shiny starships, so it's nice to see a change.

It looks... different. I always liked it way back when, so I guess that's a "I think it looks good" choice. I don't know if I'd call it "gorgeous" but it's interesting.

I can definitely say it doesn't look like the same old, same old.

I can also say you can't say to detractors, "Young minds, fresh ideas, be tolerant... " because a lot of people, including myself, weren't even born yet when it was on the sketching board. ;)

It is not 'slightly' unappealing. It is hideous. They somehow managed to design a ship which is uglier than 'Vengeance', which is an impressive achievement.
Actually, I LIKED the Vengeance, but that's just me :)

100 times better that the abomination that is the JJprise.
JJprise looks OK from certain angles. Definitely not my favorite version of the Enterprise, but I hardly consider it an abomination.

At least the Discovery isn't a Daedalus Class. If you want to talk hideous, THAT is an abomination!

I voted in the ship's favor because the two choices were poorly phrased and inadequate. I'd say that the concept appeals quite a lot, but needs refinement.

I agree, as a poll the choices are quite limiting. My option would be, like the concept, needs work and refinement.
