Does anyone know what berman is doing these days

TEH BABA

Commodore
Commodore
Kinda funny how he is out of a job and moore is one of hollywood's hottest producers these days.

He's running a Bed & Breakfast hotel with Brannon Bragga

It's called... well you can probably guess

The Bermaga "B & B", lol.

He's probably sitting in the back corner of his closet, knees pulled tightly to his chest, rocking quietly to and fro muttering, "I was very pleased. Very pleased."

residuals residuals is more like it.

Or worse, that guy who took a successful franchise and nearly sucked all the life out of it.

Rick Berman has becoming something of a one hit wonder thanks to being able to stand on the shoulders of Gene Roddenberry and Gene in all his wisdom chose Berman over others

moore is one of hollywood's hottest producers these days.

I wouldn't call Moore hot, he's good writer but he's a loud mouth who likes to pat himself on the back and he's a very average producer who depends heavily on other peoples work. He has trouble managing writing teams and blew his budget on a number of shows only to fill them out with clunky filler episodes
You get the new-Battlestar fans hyping him up and claiming he's the second coming, but their show is depressing and it gets horrible ratings

Not the kind of treatment I would wish for any StarTrek reincarnation

So Who's Red Hot ? or who's still got it?
:alienblush:
That would be:
Abrams (Although I hate "Lost" I admit Abrms is very bankable), we've got other greats like Favreau, Joel Silver, Kathleen Kennedy, Ari Arad, Robert Zemeckis, Christopher Nolan, Spielberg, The Coens...etc
Joss Whedon seems to be making something of a comeback

Unfortunately most Trek writers and producers would have trouble keeping up with the big boys (and girls)

I imagine he's sitting in his mansion, counting the millions he made during his run as Trek's producer and laughing at all the people on the Internet who continue to obsess over him.

That's it, pretty much: living very comfortably.

I have to say I prefer his stuff to what Moor is doing to BSG.

Who knows, the way the list is growing he could end up at Creation's VegasCon.

Berman is probably swimming in the royalty check money he gets from any time any/every episode of modern Trek that airs as a rerun anywhere, which he gets paid for, multiple times for each credit he has on that show. Berman is set for life on that alone IMO.

Bingo.

Hollywood is all about brand names and franchises. Imagine if someone took over Toyota and ran it into the ground. Probably wouldn't be getting another job in the auto industry except as a mechanic.

I wouldn't overestimate how "hot" RDM is, though. Hollywood cares about money, and BSG hasn't exactly been rakin' it in.
