Does a Vulcan Nerve Pinch hurt?

i'll give you such a pinch

We have several of these topics. Strangely, they were created by three different people, rather than a solo spammer like I expected. But they're valid questions...
Vulcan nerve pinch: Probably excruciating pain until you lose consciousness, and you're stiff afterward.
Phaser on stun: Brief burst of pain as the energy violently overloads your nervous system. You're groggy afterwards. If you tank the hit and remain conscious, like Yuta did, it's probably quite painful.
Transporter: From what I saw in "Realm of Fear", not painful at all.
Being assimilated: Probably unimaginably painful, both as the nanites go through you and as your body parts are removed and replaced with implants.

And other things...
Hypospray: No one seems to flinch much as they're applied, so I doubt there's much pain. Maybe they use a pain-reducing mechanism.
Medical scan: Probably varies, from feel nothing to light tickle to genuine discomfort.
Spot's claws: Probably hurt just as much as with cats of today.

Yeah, it almost gave me the itch to start my own a 'does being a TrekBBS member hurt?' thread, but strangely, I had the feeling that one would be closed down anyway.

On topic, a Vulcan Nerve Pinch looks like it would hurt. It looks like a forceful pinch, designed to (temporarily) incapacitate nerves. It looks like it would cause some other (tissue) trauma as well.

Tempted to put up Johnny Cash's "Hurt"... but maybe too much. I put it in "What are you listening to" instead.

I noticed there are actually multiple versions of the Vulcan pinch... Spock's original had him grabbing the lower shoulder, but later versions showed the pincher grabbing the trapezius muscle. And I can tell you that the latter is quite painful, and you'll feel it afterward, in terms of bruised soft tissue.

Hypospray: I already addressed this one.

Phlox's Leeches: Assuming Phlox's leeches are similar to Terran ones, their bites are naturally anesthetic. Best way to deal with one is let it finish its meal, then let it drop off. But expect to bleed awhile, since it also injects an anticoagulant.

Bat'leth to the head: Depends on how strong the Klingon swinging it is.
