I use the Beneton Movie Gif. It's very simplistic, but it's about all I can handle when making avs.

You can get GIMP here and no, it's freware. I don't know anything about Benton.

I use GIMP (with the instructions I gave captcalhoun up thread). It's not the most intuitive or sophisticated software, but it gets the job done for what I want.

I also use GIMP to animate; it's easy once you've done it a few times.

If I had the ability and skills I would try and find some way of making the three-shot from Partners in Crime when Donna first sees Tennant...cut to Tennant, first seeing Donna...cut back to Donna with her mouth wide open. That was pretty damn funny!

Thanks for the links guys. GIMP looks very...complicated. I haven't checked out Beneton yet, but plan to do so.

You know, as powerful as it is, you would think Photoshop could do animated GIFS...
