Doctor Who Audios - How to get a hold of them?

And the novel Asylum states that Nyssa only travelled with the 5th Doctor for two years: but, as with the page in Goth Opera where someone tracks the TARDIS's most recent landings (and hence establishes that there are no untransmitted stories between Kinda and Snakedance), that's one of those little throwaways which tend to be regretted and forgotten...
Personally, I'd prefer to go for Trakens having a longer life span - a decade or two between Timeflight and Arc helps a bit with explaining the 150-year difference between the 5th and 6th Doctorss age, and could be supported by the references in Keeper of Traken to a Keeper ruling for a thousand years (though he probably had help from the Source).

Not necessarily. It could just as easily be that the Doctor dropped Nyssa off for what was, from her perspective, a quick jaunt. For him, he could have gone off for a hundred years and returned. Granted the TARDIS isn't particularly good at accuracy, but that could explain it as well.

Sam Jones complained about that in one of her novels. Claimed that she swore that she saw some grey in 8's hair which wasn't there a couple hours earlier after he [pooped off in the Tardis for a brief errand.

The other reason I think that trakanians age a little slower is that the master was quite happy in Nyssa's pappy's body with out too much worry that it was going to immediately wind down in the next 4 or 5 decades... Which would be an unthinkable death sentence for a timelord.

Although, we did see Nyssa's step mum age frm girl to woman rather quickly traking the presence of the melkur in that garden.

Indeed, the Doctor has to have had an extended period away from his companions prior to Circular Time (so either while traveling with Nyssa or perhaps during the Adric/Tegan/Nyssa days) because Circular Time establishes that the fifth Doctor comic strips happened before it, and he's either traveling alone in those or with a different companion (Sir Justin, Gus).

The Marian Conspiracy with Colin and Storm Warning with Paul were my first two exposures to the DW audios since then I have gotten every last one of them and the spinoffs, the Dalek Empire 1-4, Cyberman, UNIT, and a majority of the Bernice Summerfield audios. All in all I can say I enjoy many of them more than the tv series, Spare Parts (5th Dr) easily could be the best Who story ever! Keep in mind that's my opinion. I love Evelyn, someone to help balance out 6th's personality. Peri and Erimem did a lot of great material (Church and the Crown being a really good historical romp!), Hex and Ace with the 7th Doc make for a good match up. The Harvest did a lot to start off what could be the best 7th Dr stories since the original series went off the air. I have a special fondness for the Nyssa stories and hope they continue as long as they are able. The Turlough stories are so few (3 so far with more coming I am told.) I think Mel has come out better with the audios than she ever did on the tv. Now as far as the 8th Doctor goes, he's had a great run with Charley and now with Lucy, he is in my top 3 favorite Doctors!
As far as ordering the actual cds, I recommend whole heartedly WHONA and Mike's Comics. Both have some great selling points and check out their website. While not as cheap as the direct downloads from Big Finish, the actual product in hand is worth the money. I can say there has only been maybe 2 stories in the who library from Big Finish that I can say I didn't honestly like (Doctor Who Unbound Exile and Doctor Who Nekromanteia) 2 stories out of around 150 or more is pretty good odds.
Check out Marian Conspiracy for a good start with the 6th,The Eye of the Scorpion for the 5th, The Harvest for the 7th and a toss up for the 8th, Storm Warning or Blood of the Daleks, stories that each bring in a new companion to the Doctor's life.
Of all the expanded Whoniverse stuff, I can say I consider the audios canon moreso than the novels for the simple fact they are with the actual actors rather than just stuff on paper. My opinions are mine, hopefully they don't offend.
