At long last, we finally know that The Thirteenth Doctor will get her own entry! It will be published in two different editions, a limited edition special hardback edition that's larger than the regular Mr. Men series in November and a regular-sized paperback in January. Knowing me, I'll probably get both editions.
I missed out on the whole series (I heard of #13's drawing a couple weeks or so ago), but Mr. and Ms. There's a certain style, though some images make me think "Peanuts character + Mr Potato Head + Dr Who = drawing I'm looking at." I think what makes them work more than anything are the facial expressions most often associated with the relevant Dr's personality at the time of their creation. I can't deny there's a certain charm in their visage.
My copy of Dr. Thirteenth arrived today (after being delayed by the USPS for a couple days) and it's even more gorgeous than I expected! It's considerably larger than the the regular paperbacks and the lovely story is about how The Thirteenth Doctor goes all out in preparation for Yaz's birthday before things go belly-up in classic Mr. Men-style.
