New Toys Finally!!!!!

I've already pre-ordered an Ironside Dalek and the Drone Dalek. If they don't bring out a 5 pack of all the colours I might need to buy four more and paint them myself.

Also I wonder what's up Amy's skirt ........ now that's just wrong.

ummmm..... why does the angel have feet? I thought the skirt went all the way down?? weird..the doc and amy look good.. I just hope the dalek is in scale, it should be a lot larger then the humans..could be the perspective..
I get that they can get more use from the tower of london guards...but why not include in wave 1 the queen, and a guard..the WWII Dalek is a must have! so is the robot human... though i would have thought the exposed chest would have looked more like the series, with the bomb clock included..the way it looks now is like he's got a star chain symbol around his neck and not a bomb clock, they should have made it a bit larger and used blue with some bright red.. Amy and the Doctor look great..

I'm sure the New Style Dalek will be larger than in that photo in relation to the other figures pictures. That image would just be the individual figures photoshopped together. The Dalek image looks like it was made smaller so it wouldn't hide the Angel behind him (Dalek's are male right? :p)

The Amy figure actually looks like the actress for once. I remember being a bit disappointed at the likenesses of the Rose and Martha figures in this line (I can't comment on the Donna figure because it never seemed to show up in retail here in Canada).

They all look pretty good. The Ironside Dalek is the only "must have" for me though.

And 23skidoo, where are you? Because here in London, Ontario, absolutely no-one carries the line. One comic shop gets regular shipments of pegwarmers from Series 1, 2 & 3 (that's all Diamond ships them) and who wants clockwork men, gelth grannies and werewolves?

Professor Bracewell? Are you shitting me? Not exactly the most dynamic choice for an action figure. Hell, I would have thought they'd do a Churchill figure before they even thought of doing him. Or maybe the Bishop from the Weeping Angel two-parter.

Yeah there are some odd choices there. I would have rather gotten a River Song, or another Amy in her police officer uniform.

I think BBCWW are saving that for the blow up Amy dolls ;)

I'm in Calgary, and while the "pegwarmers" dominate as you correctly state, several shops such as Phoenix Comics, ComicKazi and Another Dimension -- and a couple of hobby stores, bizarre as it may sound -- have brought in some of the others, such as the 10-inch David Tennant and Martha, as well as the Classic Doctors that came out a while ago. Other stores, however, have told me direct to my face that none of these toys are available in Canada. Obviously clueless. Nonetheless, while I have been able to snag a few goodies, I never did see the 10-inch Rose Tyler that came out, or any Donna Noble. Plenty of "Cyberman head voice changers" though -- not to mention Judoon Scanners.

My favorite finds, though, remain the original issue of the Journal of Impossible Things and the first version of the Human Nature fob watch, both of which turned up at comic book stores here for about 15 minutes each.

I refer you to Josan's comments. Each Series seems to have a mixture of top characters and so-called "pegwarmers". I'm frankly surprised both the Doctor and Amy are in the same Series. My guess is Series 2 will have Rory and, hopefully, Liz 10. I wouldn't be surprised to see Vincent Van Gogh. I'm also assuming we'll get a Regeneration version of the Eleventh Doctor in Ten's suit, and if no one thinks to put out a Kissogram Special for Amy, they're clueless!

As for Churchill, they still need to get clearances from the actors, etc. so we don't know if they weren't able to get the actor's agreement on that. And anyway, remembering that in theory these things are supposed to be for kids (Kissogram Special notwithstanding), I can see the rationale that the robot trumps the fat man.

Not sure what to make about the Angel's feet, however...

If they don't bring out a 5 pack of all the colours

I cannot even begin to imagine the possibility of no 5-pack being produced.

It's as close to a no-brainer as I've ever seen. A Victory of the Daleks gift pack featuring all 5, plus maybe Wormhole's coveted Winston as an exclusive, perhaps?

Haven't two of these already been done? There was the figure of Smith in Tennant's suit that was included with The End of Time action figure set (which also included the Tenth Doctor, the Master and Rassilon) and I'm pretty sure I saw an image somewhere of an Eleventh Doctor figure wearing the Tenth Doctor's "raggedy" clothes from The Eleventh Hour.

Honestly, I would have thought action figure agreements are among the first things discussed with the actors when they agree to be on the show, even for one-shot guest stars. If faceless granny from The Idiot's Lantern got an action figure, than I'm sure there's a market, especially in England for Winston Churchill.

Yeah, there would most certainly have to be a five pack of the Victory Daleks. Hell, there was an action figure set of the Cult of Skaro Daleks from Doomsday which basically consisted of three Dalek figures which were exactly the same, another that was a different colour and the Genesis Ark. So there's no reason why there can't be five of the new Daleks each in a different colour. Including Churchill would be awesome. :techman:

I have a feeling they might not bring a 5 pack out and they might just trickle the Dalek releases through the following series/waves. It's unlikely they will introduce new new styles of Daleks so they can trickle them out with each wave. I hope that's just the pessimist in me because I'd love a 5 pack.

Cool! I'll definitely get the Ironside Dalek, and most likely Amy too. I'll have to keep an eye on Mike's to pre-order.
