Do you watch'em ALL?

I watch the ones I want, unless I'm doing a rewatch, in any series. But, even if they are on tv, I won't watch the ones I don't like. The number of times I've already seen those are enough.

In the past few years I've worked my way through Trek on DVD, no skipping episodes. I managed TOS just fine, ENT and Voyager a little less so, but when it came to TNG I quit halfway through.

Don't get me wrong, the great episodes are fantastic, but the bad ones are the franchise's worst. The crew don't have the chemistry to carry bad stories the way TOS does, IMO.

I've been going through all the Trek series'. I've been watching every episode... even those I don't really care for.

I watch pretty much every episode. I find that even if there`s a stinker, there`s a high probability that the episode at least has a memorable moment that I`ve forgotten about; Some fun dialogue at a poker game, a funny exchange between data and whoever, etc.

^ That's pretty much my take as well. The reason I tend to commit myself to rewatching all of the episodes in order, good bad and ugly, whenever I sit down to do any Star Trek series on DVD is because you'd be amazed how often I come across an episode I'd previously dismissed but found something to re-evaluate about it this time around. :) I just don't think I'd be enriched like that if all I did was cherry-pick only the best episodes to watch. Indeed, if there's one thing being a part of various online fandoms has taught me over the years, it's not to believe any clear consensus on which episodes are 'good' and which ones aren't anyway -- opinions are meant to be subjective, after all. ;)

I religiously went from start to finish of TNG, currently doing the same for DS9 and I already like it more.
From what I can tell DS9 you need to watch them all because something nearly always changes, a character or part of the station.

I watch all of them. I have found that some of the 'bad' ones aren't quite as bad a I had remembered.

You know, in retrospect it's amazing that they never made a Lwaxana Troi/Q episode! This is good for us all...

In 91' Peter David wrote Q-in-Law (TNG #18) which put Q and Lwaxana together. I don't remember how good the overall story was, but I do remember there were parts that made me actually laugh out loud.

You beat me to the punch. I remember it being a fun book as well.

And I believe there was an audio version read by both Majel and John DeLancie . . . .

Only one I will for-sure skip is "Shades of Gray" there is really no reason whatsoever to watch that episode. None. Zero. Zip.

There's other episodes in the series I may consider skipping, while I can tolerate most of the largely, and unfairly, panned first two seasons the 7th season tends to be a struggle in a few episodes, "Shades of Gray" is the one I will absolutely not watch.

"Reunification" was the last for me. I couldn't get past the Roddenberry epitaph. :(

I initially got into TNG while watching during summer break about 10 years ago. It was on Spike each day, like 4 in a row or something crazy like that and so I was able to watch many of them in order but missed some. Later on I was able to watch each episode start to finish, but since then I skip around a lot. It's also fun, as someone suggested, to watch certain episodes in a row that tie together, like doing Klingon politic episodes. I'm not sure id get through watching the whole series in order again but I think its a good thing to do once.

I've started re-watching TNG yesterday and I will watch ALL episodes, even the bad ones. Especially the bad ones I should say, because those are the ones I don't remember very well. Keeps it interesting. There's always some nice little details in there you totally forgot about.

However, 'Justice' tested my patience today. Man, those Edo are creepy. Eightees softporn ala Star Trek . I wanted to punch their moronic smiling faces.

But I will not skip. I will not skip! Not even Sub Rosa. (thankfully that's still 6 seasons away)
