I'm not sure. The arch of her so far would imply no, but I'll probably be surprised.

Maybe Spock or Scotty briefly. We know she had a romance with Spock in the Abramsverse and she and Scotty were flirting in Trek 5. I think they might give her the mini-skirt next year as well but not something she wears in every episode.

They already have a lot of unsustainable romance irons in the fire right now... maybe the next romance should be one that might actually have a future. We do have some characters whose future isn't predetermined by TOS... Una, La'an, Ortegas... maybe they should have a romantic adventure.

Maybe so. Considering all the weird things that Trek has already done, they could certainly technobabble out an explanation for Spock and Chapel somehow living happily ever after. I mean, they convincingly explained why everyone was singing for crying out loud.

 

Which he refers to in "The Paradise Syndrome" as his bairns. Literally, his babies/children.

 

This is a starship, not high school. Not everyone needs to be coupled up in order to avoid being a social outcast.

I didn't see Scotty corresponding. That was already awkward in the 90's and would be considered very bad in the 2020's considering the man was confusedly waking up from a hit in the head in a hospital bed.
