Do you think Pegg deslikes Star Trek Into Darkness?

I don't know that Pegg deslikes anything.

Oh, that is not accurate. Just Google Pegg and Episode 1: The Phantom Menace and you'll realize that the Star Wars prequels are high on the list of things he actively dislikes.

As for ID, part of the creative process, even when you are a part of the creative work, is always a minor disagreement over choices or what you would prefer to do versus the writer or director.

Also, part of film making is second guessing yourself as to whether or not you made the right choice. George Lucas once made the observation that great movies are never completed only abandoned. While many may not agree with GL's approach there is definitely a dissatisfaction with the creative work. So, its not something new.

That's what I get for not checking Urban Dictionary first. They've got entries for words I've never encountered anywhere else.

I think that like many of us Pegg has mixed feelings about STID. I'm sure he doesn't dislike it, if only because it's a record of his fun times with some cool people. And he could not be as disappointed as Samuel L Jackson must have been after working on the SW prequels.

He wants his own script to be much better than what orci wrote for star trek into darkness and star trek 3
It would be deeply worrying if he wanted his script to be worse, wouldn't it? :D

Reminds me of SFDebris hypothetical (and tongue-in-cheek) conversation between Berman and Braga about creating the worse Trek episode ever:

Braga: Rick, I know I get credit for that lousy episode (VOY: Threshold), but I think we can do worse. Do you think we can produce the worst Star Trek episode ever?

;)

Pegg told the ID haters who infamously voted it "worst Trek movie ever" at that convention a few years ago to "fuck off" - that says it all. :)

Some people are able to get away with stuff others just can't, and when they try they come a cropper!:rommie:

I dont know what is going on with the man, he keeps giving all this interviews on how his script will be different, how it will be traditional and stick to core values or how he learned from orci's script.

I know artists are suppose too respect each other but I cant shake the feeling that Pegg did not like the script of into darkness.

I know only Karl Urban has voiced some of his unhappiness with the script wishing it was more original but I dont think any other person in the cast has said something negative.

Pegg may not have said something negative but I cant shake this feeling off that he is sort of unhappy with the way into darkness went both in terms of his personal reception of the film and the fsome fans reception of the film as well and for this, He wants his own script to be much better than what orci wrote for star trek into darkness and star trek 3 that Paramount rejected which lead to orci exiting the film as a writer as well as director.
Okay, one week on, you've provided nothing to support the notion that Simon Pegg in any way dislikes Star Trek Into Darkness. In fact, evidence suggests the opposite.

You've also provided nothing whatsoever to support the contention that Karl Urban had "originality issues". He's said only that—having done the referential Khan story—the next movie should be an original tale, which is not an entirely unreasonable suggestion.
