Do you think LGBT characters will feature more prominently?

I asked a very specific question concerning 2 examples of whites playing nonwhites, including one in black face, and you responded by indicating you were cool w it (and, thus, at least implying you know who Laurence Olivier was and what Othello is and the movie I was referencing). Obviously, you misspoke by not actually answering the question you were responding to. People make honest mistakes and that's cool. It happens. You have since clarified that you are not ok w black face. Got it. Thank you. Life goes on.

Ok fair enough.

I doubt it, at least in the beginning. It's risky to do a Star Trek show. The execs won't want to do anything that might alienate certain groups.

Then you should have protested the movie when it first came out in 1992. You know, by standing outside a few gay Film Festivals waving round a placard which declares in thick angry block letters "THIS IS WRONG!"

The movie was written/made by two white Danes, it's 26 minutes long, and hasn't probably made any money for anyone ever. The wikipedia page doesn't list any controversy or protest. Everyone has been fine with it for the last 3 decades.

Personally I couldn't handle the low sound quality, and turned GNFOS off 4 minutes in because the wind was making an annoying whistling noise while these ebony aliens where making their first speech about how they were going to be greeted as liberators for teaching the men of earth that they were doing sex wrong.

Yes, this is basically a fanfilm made in someone's back yard, for gay rights, that is supposed to be funny. Oh, and surprisingly not a porn.

if you actually watched all the series, there actaulally ARE lots of homosexual charecters. The thing is,,,, due to MORAL standards, it had to be thinly disguised.
During the TNG run, RAPE was the big topic word, hence we have constant tales of Tasha Yars childhood of getting raped when she couldn't out run rape gangs.

However the whole homosexual agenda is being pushed so much on people its not funny. Its why we had to have Don't ask, Don't tell for the military, they HAD to do something to keep the quality of life and morale up for the soldiers.

Sure you may not like it, but last time I checked gay marriage laws only passed by reason of a very liberal run state supreme court

Gene Roddenberry: The Original SJW

"Star Trek was an attempt to say that humanity will reach maturity and wisdom on the day that it begins not just to tolerate, but take a special delight in differences in ideas and differences in life forms. If we cannot learn to actually enjoy those small differences, to take a positive delight in those small differences between our own kind, here on this planet, then we do not deserve to go out into space and meet the diversity that is almost certainly out there." - Gene Roddenberry

"Alexander, where I come from, size, shape or color makes no difference." - Captain Kirk, Plato's Stepchildren

"Leave any bigotry in your quarters, there's no room for it on the bridge." - Captain Kirk, Balance of Terror

"IDIC - Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations" - the basis of Vulcan philosophy

Chekov: There was persecution on Earth once. I remember reading about it in my history class.
Sulu: Yes, but it happened way back in the twentieth century. There's no such primitive thinking today.
-Let That Be Your Last Battlefield

I could go on. A mouthpiece for dang liberals, spreading their liberal values since 1966! lol

Yup, this is the very reason that Star Trek was created and exactly what I want to see in the new series.

What is the "homosexual agenda", and in what ways is it being pushed on people? I'm genuinely curious.
Can't tell you how many times gay people have come to my door, asking me if I've heard the good news of homosexuality and do I know I'm damned if I don't dump my gf and date a guy. They're always handing out pamphlets in parking lots and trying to scare people into a homosexual lifestyle.

And the toasters! So many toasters.

Sounds like the homosexual witnesses.

Its why we had to have Don't ask, Don't tell for the military, they HAD to do something to keep the quality of life and morale up for the soldiers.

And we all know how well that worked.

Yep, that was the only reason. Why should anyone's equal rights matter?

The homosexual agenda, the radical notion that gay people are human and deserve equal rights.
