It's not just the helos but most all modern aircraft.I never understood the appeal of those curved TVs that were advertised for about five minutes last year and almost never since. Curving the screen only makes the glare worse, not better.
That's why military helicopters often have segmented flat-paned canopies rather than single-piece curved ones, so there's less glare. Also, it's easier to make laminate armor glass in flat panes.

Oh, I remember those! -they were so easy to fix, the transistorised tv's from the seventies required a bit more knowledge and instrumentation to fix... and these days: forget it, not possible...
