Do you play games with friends?

I must admit I'm not too into single-player console games. I've played a few, but I'm a much bigger fan of the games that you can play with friends. Often these end up being older games (Mario Kart, for example).

How about you? Do you play games with your friends, or do you prefer solitary games?

Sometimes, not as often as I'd like though. Most of my friends either aren't that into gaming, or don't have the time for it (a couple of kids will do that).

I'm more into single player when I play games as I enjoy following the story. I have near bought a game based on the strength of its multiplayer, it pretty much doesn't matter to me.

When I was in college I played a bit of LAN gaming for FPS and strategies. Also every couple of months go to a LAN place with two other friends whom I met on college (use to be four/five or us but two moved back oversees) for 3 to 4 hours, though we did do a 12 hour session, which included one dinner break. We played FPS vs each other or in teams (usually if we have teams right at the start there is a healthy amount of team killing for fun) and usually played as a team on strategy games.

CO-OP gaming is my favourite type and I regulary play games online or System link up with a friend. Also me n 2 friends met up often for our Wii60 days/nights or weekends.

:techman:

We play Wii Sports and PS2 football games after our friends' kiddies have gone to bed. But we also play board games (Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride etc.)

I play Rock Band with my friends, but for the most part, I don't have too many gamer friends, and I'm generally not into multiplayer anyhow. I don't play often enough and I'm generally just not good enough at most games ... I rarely finish the ones I own, and I really only play them when I want to be alone for a while.

I'm more into single player games. Multiplayer deathmatch modes get boring pretty fast, but I do enjoy a good co-op mode.

When I play games with friends it's typically Team Fortress 2 or Left 4 Dead. Of course there are exceptions, like when someone comes over (then Wii games like Smash Brothers and Mario Kart are typical, and I imagine soon enough New Super Mario Brothers Wii) and when I go to the LAN Party that a couple of my friends run.

I don't generally enjoy online multiplayer. Usually when I play a game with another person it's something co-op with my brother and/or my brother-in-law. But I'm seriously considering upgrading to Xbox Live Gold when Modern Warfare 2 comes out.

I have a hard time enjoying playing with myself ;) I play co-op games with my GF (historically Mario Kart and SW Battlefront). When I'm playing a single player, I dunno, it's not as much fun.

Yes, Tiger woods 09/10 is great on the same console as everybody levels up after their game, LBP is a must to play with together be it on the same console or online.

When I was younger, a kid through university age up through the 90s, I played a lot of games with friends. Even if it wasn't a co-op game we'd take turns playing or one of us would sit and watch the other slog away for hours playing Faxanadu or FF3.

Many awesome nights in university playing WCW vs NWO on N64 totally drunk out of my tree. The brawls would often carry into RL.

I don't use my console much to play games anymore, most of my friends don't really play console games either, though almost every one of them has a PS3 or 360 that sits there doing nothing most of the time. Probably because a lot of us play World of Warcraft together. Once you get into an MMO it's hard to spend much time on other games. TBH I don't even really want to play other games, though I did take a spin through the new (excellent) Batman game last week.

I was never much for multiplayer, and my interest in gaming as a whole is diminishing with time (though not gone).

I don't play off-line. I've got friends I play online with from my old hometown and I have made many new ones online. Some of them have been on my friends list since 2003. In a weird reversal, we've gone from playing online to meeting in RL and doing things like trips to the beach, Legoland, out to dinner, etc.

Heck yea I do. Not online gaming -- but two player. The last game that I've played like that was my friends copy of Guitar Hero. He played the guitar and I sung. It was pretty fun.

I have online gamed before though... Pokémon Diamond, against an acquaintence of mine. And I beat his butt... but I'll say this, he's one heck of a battler and he had a good team.
