Yes. Well, the front yard anyway. My roommate never cleans up after his dog in the back, so he gets stuck with taking care of that. I enjoy getting out and doing yardwork.

I used to hate mowing the lawn, mostly because I used an electric mower and I kept tripping over the cord. :p

Now I have a rechargeable mower. No cord. :techman:
Electric mower? I wouldn't be afraid of tripping over the cord so much as chopping it to pieces with the blades!

Apartment dweller here, but when I buy a house I will definitely hire somebody to do it for me. Or buy a riding lawnmower. Or some grazing animals.

It's a carpet, but for outside use. Leftover from the previous owners when we moved in a couple of months ago. It's going over the railing as soon as all the snow has gone. Then I'm getting nice wooden tiles and get ready to plant my ass there and watch the sunsets with a beer in my hand

Mowing the lawn is a great time to be alone and think. With just over an acre to mow and a riding lawnmower with which to do it I'm all set.

I feel exactly the same way. We have just over a half-acre, and I actually look forward to mowing it.

I HATE doing the weed-wacking though. String trimmers and I don't get along, and we have a fenced-in yard that must be trimmed at the fenceline about every other time I mow. So, I always do that drudgery first, then getting on the tractor becomes my "reward."

We used to have a service before we had the new yard put in. I've decided to do it myself now.

You can get Gator Blades at Lowes or Home Depot type places. I can't get the strings to work for me and these blades are awesome.

I chose the house I stay in at the moment for several reasons, and one of them was that it lacked a lawn - instead it has a very nice concrete slab and a rear flower bed. Great for the occasional outdoor kip. :bolian:

I live in a flat, but we have extensive grounds that require maintenance, including mowing lawns and other gardening work. The money comes out of the service charge, so for purposes of the poll I ticked that I pay someone to do it. It's indirectly true, anyway. :)

Well, if that's the game we're playing...

Sure, I pay some little Mexicans to maintain the landscape of my apartment complex. It's included in my rent.

I've got a 16 year old.

Actually I love mowing my lawn, weeding, edging, fertilizing, etc.. I have taken the 1/2 acre of land that I have and transformed it from a trash heap to a thing of beauty. With proper planning I manage to keep it green even in this drought with a minimum of water.
