I like them. When I lived in Santa Cruz, I often hopped onto the Giant Dipper, which is one of the oldest in the country, having opened in 1924. You can take a "virtual ride" here. It's kind of tame by today's standards, but it's fun to ride now and then.

I haven't ridden any in a while, though. Sorry, Six Flags--I blame myself.

I used to be scared to go on them, then I enjoyed the rush, now I find them relaxing.

Time to try sky diving.

Yes, they're awesome, just don't describe to me in detail what the ride does and I'll go on it.

Like Storm Runner at Hershey this past Sunday, it was an awesome ride, but if I had known what it was going to do I wouldn't have gone on it.

It was sweet.

Does everyone here live in Pennsylvania? :p Everybody keeps talking about Hersey Park. There's only the one, right?

I like coasters
I think they're relaxing
heck I'd probably have just as much fun in a military G-Force simulator centrifuge thing :D
my favorite thing to do was make goofy faces at the cameras or pretend I was asleep

I hate them with a passion. I will not ride one no matter what. I was at DisneyWorld for 6 months and my friends tried to persuade me pretty much every day to go on one. But no luck. I just hate the feeling. I hate even watching videos of them. I don't even like thinking about it *shudder*

(yes I know I'm a big wimp lol)

I abhor roller coasters with a fiery passion. The only time I've ever ridden one was at Paul Bunyan Land. It was this little rickety-ass thing that wasn't all that safe and I can remember that I hated every second of the ride.

That's like saying you hate all sports cars when the only thing you've ever driven is a rusted out 1968 Alfa isn't it?

Me? Love them. I've snowboarded for a very long time and speed and heights don't bug me when I feel safe, and I feel safe on coasters. I like the rush. I just hold on and yell and it's probably the closest thing I'll ever experience to riding in a jet fighter so I'm all for that. :)

Haven't been on one in awhile, but I'm not a huge fan. Especially the ones that hurt.

And just when I start to enjoy them, there's always that stupid picture at the end where you can tell I'm screaming my head off. :(

I generally enjoy them:)

When it comes to the photo section though, my mates usually reckon I have a bored look on my face:wtf:

I'm afraid of heights, so I've got a few requirements for roller coasters. For starters, I hate the old wooden rollercoasters with the cheap lap bar that's supposed to hold you in. Talk about feeling unsecured. I'm terrified I'm just going to go flying off the damned ride. Any of the more modern (metal) rollercoasters, especially ones with lap and shoulder restraints, are better. I actually feel like I'm strapped in pretty well. I don't care much for the rides that shoot you super-high into the air, but you can spin me through loops and twists and turns all day.

I absolutely LOVE roller coasters.

My favorites are the Flight of Fear at Kings Island, I was totally caught off guard by this awesome ride. I had no clue it was going to be so intense. Absolutely loved it.

Millennieum Force at Cedar Point, the drop was just incredible.

And Raging Bull at my local Six Flags. First time I ever rode tears were flying out of my eyes from going so fast.

I love coasters that emphasize speed and height, and I hate ones with loops and corkscrews. Going upside down is disagreeable to me. One exception is California Screamin' because it has just one loop, and the rest of it is so fun and well-designed.

Rollercoasters rock, the scarier the better. It's the high afterwards - unbeatable. Better than drugs. :p I've ended up in a theme park every summer the past few years. One of my favourites is the Blue Tornado (the setting is so pretty too), it's a steel, suspended looping coaster, with about 5 inversions. You can experience about 5Gs on this one:

It's been such a long time since I've been to an amusement park, even though the last roller coaster I was on was last year at Disney's Hollywood Studios with the Aerosmith theme. That was quite fun, much higher for disney's standards than I thought. There was also the one at Disney's Animal Kingdom which was great, but other than that, I'm almost growing out of the whole Coaster/Amusement park experience.

I enjoy rollercoasters, but unfortunately I can't go on the ones with loops anymore. :( For some reason (many have guessed low blood sugar levels) I come very close to blacking out when I go through a loop. As I get older it gets worse. So I will go on all the coasters that don't have loops but sadly that really limits things.

I love roller coasters! It doesn't really matter what other rides a park has, the quality of the roller coasters IS the quality of the park for me.
