Do you learn from your mistakes?

I would like to think so. It does not always work out that way though.

I do generally for things like if I leave at half 8 for work I will be late and similar things.

However I always make the same emotional/personal mistakes again and again. Worryingly I know I'm doing it but find myself powerless to stop! Fun.

I like to think I do, and I certainly make conscious effort to improve when I notice something has gone wrong. I succeed sometimes, sometimes I don't. I think I can say that I make different kinds of mistakes now than I did four years ago. I suppose that's progress.

By the way, I'm sorry to hear something unfortunate happened to you Flukie. Best wishes now and always.

That did take a lot of courage. Either way you'll be better off for it. Course I hope it's the together way. :)

I never seem to learn that leaving long rambling posts usually turns everyone off and they go away.

We have a saying in our family: Once bitten, twice bitten.

So I guess the answer would be no, Flukie.

There is hope, though. There's wooden trim sticking down from the bulkhead in the main living area of our boat. I think it was originally designed to take a screen so that the front could be used as a cabin. We only had to hit our heads on it about a dozen times before we remembered to duck.

I haven't tried everything yet, so I'll probably make more mistakes ~ but will endeavour to learn from them!
