Do You Know How To Do Something?

I can stop myself from being frightened by ShamelessMcBundy

No, wait, I only wish I could do that.

AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

I can't do anything out of the ordinary. I can digitally draw/paint though, but it's nothing more than anyone could do with a little practice.

A client of mine once described me this way: "[Shikarnov] represents a unique blend of skills, and brings with him an unusual breadth of experience that's fueled by deep, insightful thoughts. Without him and his team, my company wouldn't be half as successful."

Oddly enough, I've been given the same label. Particularly with web developing. Antyhing too complex is out of my range (and I'll pass it over to my tech girl) but I've been credited with helping a company I work with by understanding how to develop a site properly - and make sure it's something that actually works - instead of something thats just sitting there wasting money.

My journalistic skills are the same. I don't know (well, don't remember) how it all works - but I know how to push the right buttons and get media sources involved with our work.

I can write realistic dialogue too, and have edited scripts to reflect a more real tone, but as for writing other things... I get lost if it's not just talking. There's other things... I know how to sew, but I'm no expert and such.

The best I could add here, is that I can make a headlock last five minutes without a crowd getting bored and I can do a fire-mans carry neckbreaker thing to someone twice my size and other miscellanious tasks.

But I'm a better performer than I am a physical force - so... it might not count!

I'm an excellent cook - I make most things from scratch, and that includes piecrust. I don't understand why almost nobody makes her or his own piecrust any more, because it is NOT difficult, but the plain fact is, almost nobody does. Except me.

I make piecrust from scratch, too! It's gotten to the point where no pies get made for Thanksgiving until I've had time to make the crusts.

It's good to know your way around computers.

If you can re-install windows or update someone's video drivers... it may seem useless but there are plenty of people who couldn't do it to save their lives.

According to many of my former classmates on Facebook, squeezing out kids is a major accomplishment...

I speak Dutch, English, German, and a teeny bit of French.
I know how to navigate with a map and a compass.
I can take a Diemaco C8 apart, clean it and put it together again.
I know my way around computers and electronics quite well.

I'm fabulous at judging people. It's an artform. With bonus points awarded for acerbic remarks... ;)

It's at that point in my family, too. One of sisters will literally not eat pie unless I make the crust. There is a mystique about piecrust that I do not understand. But then again, I guess I am among those who have been entrusted with the Sacred Knowledge. Ah, well. It's nice to be appreciated. ;)

i can do a lot of things that are generally useless in this modern age such as baking, knitting, sewing, etc. entertaining things to know but not terribly practical or cost effective in the age of walmart.

I know how to make a short film. From start to finish. But I'm best in the editing phase. I dabble in sound mixing, but I'm not very good at it.

Also I'm pretty much the family cook. Me and to a lesser extent dad. Which is naturally a point of tension when we try and cook simultaneously.

I can pretty much always say where North is. Without really thinking about it.

I'm a singer, trombonist, and pianist, and I write what I think are pretty excellent little things on the piano. I keep them to myself mostly because I'm just playing the sounds I want to hear...but some day I'll get around to seeing if other people are into it too. I can also drive a stick shift, which no one else I know other than my dad can do. Pretty sad .
