Do you know anyone from TrekBBS IN REAL LIFE?

I've met several posters over the years... all extremely interesting people. One particular meet-up I attended had around 30 tbbs'ers present, back in 2006, I think. Trekkies are a special breed, intelligent, well-mannered, and open-minded, and it's always a thoroughly wonderful day when I spend time with some. I've no doubt I'll be meeting many more to come.

I met one at the altar ;)

A few days later we finally got together for dinner out with AstroSmurf. Within a week he joined us at Elmo's parents house for what her dad called the "Nashville Reception" which was a catered dinner and open bar on their huge balcony. Man, that was fun. Thanks for coming up, B :)

Well, if convention meetups with people from the forums counts, then yes! I do know people from TrekBBS and also from House of Tucker.

I love meeting people from here. I don't think I've ever felt as comfortable with a group of virtual strangers as I have with the fine folks of TrekBBS. I'd probably meet just about any of you, too. :D

Don't believe so, though anything is possible.

At the last forum, I spent most of my on-line time at, I had got around to meeting quite a few of them. Maybe one day:)

I've met BolianAdmiral and Samuel T. Cogley, both at a live BSG concert in San Diego. Apparently there were more folks from the board there as well, but I didn't have a way to find out who at the time.

I've met a few, yeah. Including but probably not limited to Pingfah, DsZ, DarkHelmet, Lindley, Dennis, Squiggy, Kira's Mom, Finn, Mimic, Alidar Jarok, mr.coaster, exodus, JonothonWally, donkey, Frontline, Queen of Misery, Master of Tarquin Hill, doubleohfive, Warp Coil, Commander Vaughn, Bears, chrisspringob.

I've met three people from here.

Two stopped posting (as far as I can tell) and one I've never heard from again.

I've also spoken to one member on the phone, and they don't talk to me anymore either.

So....yeah. It's been a big success for me.

I've met a few posters, both times in London (strangely enough, since I live in Canada  ) Huntingdon was a great host (but don't tell him I said so ;) )

I think it would be quite nice to meet with you in person.

When I was in Austin, I met several BBSers, many off GA's list. I really enjoyed those meet-ups.

Now that I'm in Chicago, though, I haven't met anyone around here yet. Maybe I should actually check the meet-ups forum. ;)
