Do you have a favourite Star Trek book?

My favorite would have to be the Crucible Trilogy by David R. George III. Fantastic books. I enjoyed all three of them immensely.

Spock, Messiah.

I never realised for quite some time how universally reviled it actually is. For me it was a cheap purchase in a bus station, so I can't say I wasted the time spent on the bus reading it :p

My two favorites are unquestionably "The Ashes of Eden" and "Federation," both by Judy and Gar Reeves-Stevens (and some guy named Shatner helped with "Ashes" ;)). Those two books are lightyears ahead of any other Trek book I've yet read (though there are many I haven't read yet), and they both reminded me just why I love Star Trek so much.
