STD takes place in the TNGVerse, which is itself a rolling reboot of the TOSVerse.

So, by its nature there are few narrative inconsistencies of importance.

I have long been working on a way to transfer my consciousness into this BBS; it's the only way i can ever catch up to cooleddie's post count.
Holly crap, 220k posts. I know I have been away from the board for 15 years, but even if I stayed, I don't think I would be in the same factor of 10 as that!

It's complete and utter madness.

I've been here for about 31 months; if I had his post count I would have posted roughly 7k posts per month; that's 237 posts per day or 10 posts per hour or 15 posts per hour if you can't post while sleeping for eight hours.

You have that worked out like a plan of action.

I'm still not sure about wether to post fifteen times per hour or rather not sleep anymore...

Red Bull.
Or bots.
Whichever you are best at.
Or nobble the competition and try to get a head start while they are incapacitated, but...that’s probably even harder work.

Didn't the Masturbation Thread go on forever and ever?

If anyone here was around in 2000 (or 2001, it went a while), you know what I'm talking about...

That one and the SOMBRERO one were extensive in length.
I mostly lurked through the "self indulgent" one (with an occasional one-liner tossed in the mix), but added more than my fair share to the 'Mexican Hat Dance' we were cavorting to back then.

It also helps to hang out extensively in the TNZ Threads.

I guess my biggest disappointment about it supposedly being Prime, is reading how deftly many authors are able to weave around TOS, make the universe feel like TOS, telling big stories that involve everything including the canon kitchen sink and not trip over something so simple like cloaking devices. The Discovery writers were self-proclaimed superfans.

I'd point directly to Star Trek: Vanguard. Who were even able to introduce a new scout ship and starbase that felt like something that would be created in Trek's mid-23rd century.

I'll second Vanguard, both because it is really amazing and fits well with TOS while being very different tonally.

Funnily enough the scout ship is an Archer class starship :D
