just 2 day before training camp favre tell the viking he not coming out of retiredment! he keep the team wanting for a long time! THAT NOT RIGHT! 2 thing i like to ask. was it right for him to do this? 2 does the team or the nfl need him at all? take care love dr;)

Do they need to drop a quarterback who is starting to creak into a system he doesn't know with a month to go before the season starts? Y'know, I'm going with no on this one.

It wouldn't hurt them to have Favre in the lineup. At the very least he could mentor the young QB's they have, because they sure could use some help in this department. Other then the QB position the Vikes have a pretty solid team.

They could use Brett, they won't get him though after all that courting. Doomed to lose the division to the Packers (or maybe the Bears... but probably the Packers).

As for not knowing the offense, that's not true, it's very close to what he used to run with the Packers, and the coordinator is his old QB coach.

Packers have defensive issues.

Brett Favre has already proven he's an idiot.

If he had simply retired after Green Bay the first time, he would've gone out as one of the best quarterbacks. The debacle with first the Jets and now the Vikings have only served to tarnish his image.

Holy shit.

If you don't love every minute of this, you hate America and the terrorists win.

I tuned into Sportscenter just to see how much they were talking about this. They were talking about Brett Favre, and had another Brett Favre segment in their docket of whats up next.

Thats pretty ridiculous.

Brett Favre is like chlamydia. He's the gift that keeps on giving.

On one hand, as a Packer fan and a Viking hater, I'm kind of amused. Nice to see another team stuck with Favre's drama queen act. On the other hand, the whole thing is getting a bit old. The media attention here tends to drown out everything else.

No team that's building for the long-term needs Favre at this point.

How do you build for the long term if you have a small window of opportunity to be successful now? Or do you think Jackson and Rosenfels are QBs you build teams around?

The Vikings need a QB and Favre is better than the ones they have, but he's just going to flame out again like he did last year.
