Reading this article on Yahoo News I was just wondering if isolated tribes like those found in South America, and I think parts of Africa, would still exist in the advanced society of the 24th century or do you suppose that by at least the 22nd or 23rd century they would have eventually integrated themselves into the modern world. Could you imagine that if they do still live in isolation from the rest of the modern world what do you suppose there way of life would be like, if it was still how they live just now or evolved (for lack of a better term) to a different way of life.
Now I know that by TNG there were Indian tribes from Earth that decided to pack up and leave Earth in search of new lands, and then there were the Tribes of people who were presumably taken from Earth by the Preservers but what if there were still pockets of isolated tribes, maybe even still undiscovered, living in the 24th century?
